Ruben Luna

Here is a true man of honor. A man who took it upon himself to learn to read by spending many late nights with Hooked on Phonics. A man who was so proud of himself for earning a "real" pay check (roughly $2000), has yet to this day cashed it in. A man who thought he had it all when he was offered a position at the Nicor Gas Company, but later found out that his true savior was poisoning him all along. Here is Ruben Luna, a man that I will never forget. A man who has tought me many things about life. I have only known this man for 2 months...
Please pray for Ruben Luna..."Just 10 more years would be nice"
In sheer pain and frustration, Ruben Luna gets emotional in his home in Aurora. Luna has undergone numerous high risk surgeries from the countries top professionals and still has no answers for his pain. "Im beginning to lose hope," said Luna as he prepares for his biggest surgery yet on Monday.

Rube Luna gets comforted in his Aurora home days after receiving exploratory surgery, by his granddaughter Anita, and wife Leonor. "I just want to get better, that's all...just 10 more years would be nice" said Luna.

Leonor Luna consoles her husband Rube in their Aurora home, as he gets emotional while discussing the chance of death. Luna took it upon himself to choose and reserve his own casket while his family was in school and at work. "I don't want to put anymore burden my family," said Luna.

Overcome with pain, Rube repositions himself with hopes for temporary relief.
