Saturdays big show down is East Aurora vs. West Aurora basketball. I shot this portrait that will run on the front of our sports section on Saturday morning. Let me know what you think. P.S. do you like my $3.00 wrapping paper backdrop?
Planned Parenthood AGAIN! But really nice guy. He was their to... "I'm out here to defend against the American Holocaust," Im glad we have some many eager people in this world.
So like most assignments, I was give this one at the very last possible second. I was sent to photograph this African refugee family and when I arrived I learned that they dont speak, understand or comprehend any english. Needless to say this was pretty tough especially since I didnt have a translator. Here is an outtake that I liked. The family has been in the US for 2 months.
While I was waiting for my friend Mike to show up at the pier in Muskegon to go White fish fishing at 12 am last Wednesday I thought I would brave the cold and shoot some pics. Here is my favorite.
After a full day of eating turkey and drinking some really good homemade wine, I jumped in the car and drove down to Champaign, IL. to cover some high school state football. Little did I know it was going to be 22 degrees out. Needless to say I froze my ass off.
So I covered the Bears 37-34 overtime win over the Denver Broncos last Sunday. This was probably the most exciting game I have covered yet this year. Lets just hope they can keep it up.

I was lucky enough to finally get back home to see my family and spend some time hunting and fishing with my best friend Mike. Here is a photo of my mom and little Izzy at home

Ok now for some work stuff. Last weekend I had to cover swimming and then head near the city to shoot football. And as always I was running a little behind and got pulled over by an Aurora Police officer doing 55 in a 30. Woops. Lucky he knew me from the paper and let me go.
Now off to football where Aurora Christian beat Amboy
Here are a few more of the portrait personality shots we are doing at the Beacon
This guy enjoys the emptyness of the gym before the game. While the next guy eats a big breakfast and the last one gets pumped up by listening to some 'crank dat' by Soulja Boy and here he is doing the superman.
